Cats in the House!

I found Judy all by myself when I was about four weeks old. Some bad people dropped me and my two sisters and brother out of their car on the street behind Judy's house. I guess they didn't really like us.

One of my sisters and my brother ran to a nice man's house not too far from where Judy lives --he named them Nip and Tuck. My other sister almost fell down a storm drain, but another nice man rescued her and took her home with him. Judy was kitty-sitting a beautiful black kitty named Odie who got out the back door and ran down the street to play. I heard Judy calling, "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty. Here Kitty Kitty."

BooBoo

I just knew she was calling me, so I ran up and said, "Here I am. Here I am." I was so cute that she had to pick me up and carry me home. At first, Robert wouldn't let me come in the house, because he knew I could stay once I got inside. Back then, they had seven kitties staying at their house already. They live on a street where lots of people love kitties, so bad people always come to their neighborhood to abandon the kitties they don't want. (Robert used to look for the sign in our yard that said "Just Leave Your Kitties Here," but he never found it.)

Anyway, I sat on the porch by the door and said "Please Love Me. Please Love Me." Judy said, "Can't we keep her? Please, Please, Pleeeease." Robert finally gave in after about 15 minutes, and I've been here ever since. Of course, Judy was very, very happy. She named me Boo because I looked like a scary little Halloween kitten with black fur sticking up all over, but everyone has always called me BooBoo. I never saw my real brother and sisters again, but I got plenty of new ones, and they all loved me.

I'm fourteen years old now (my birthday is in April), but Judy still calls me her baby cat, and I'm really pretty playful. I like to play Hide and Seek with my brother, Bubba. Sometimes, I get on the rocking chair and he gets under it and we play "catch the tail" or "grab the paw." Every night I bat my happy face ball around the computer room to amuse Judy. Not only am I the smartest kitty in the house, I'm also the sweetest. I never never quarrel with my brothers or sister, and I always always share my food dish.

I'm still a pretty good tree climber too. I love to sit on the roof and pretend I'm a sleek black panther looking down on the jungle from the tree tops. Of course I don't pounce anything from this height, that would be too scary. I have to get off the roof by shimmying backwards down the palm tree by the garage --I know that's not too ladylike, that's why I wait until nobody's looking.
Not as soft as Judy's lap top, but not bad...

My favorite thing to do is to help Judy work on the computer. I like to sit on her lap while she's typing, but sometimes I sit on the keyboard and watch mmmmmmmmmmmm's fill up the scre
en. I also like to hold down the Caps Lock key while she's typing real important stuff (tee hee). One time I rearranged the desktop for her. I thought it looked nice, but Judy didn't. Picky, picky, picky. Helping her read is lots of fun too.

Every morning I sit on the toilet seat and groom myself while Judy gets ready for work (Judy calls it my "morning ritual" --whatever that means). I'm usually finished before she is. I have shiny black fur that looks auburn if the light is just right, and I have a little bit of white fur on my chest and tummy. Plus, I have one white whisker.

I don't weigh a whole lot, thank goodness, or Judy wouldn't let me sit on her lap the whole time she's working on the computer.
What should I do next?

Not as soft as Judy's lap top, but not bad...
I really love Judy's laptop computer, too. After I finish working on a spreadsheet, I can use the laptop as a pillow. And it's real easy to make the mouse work --it's called a touch pad. I think someone must have invented it just for kitties, because even kitties who aren't computer literate like I am can move the currrrsor all over the screen.

When Robert comes home, my sister Skuzzy and I like to help him relax after a long day in the office. But Skuzzy takes up most of Robert's lap top because she's not as slim and trim as I am... Skuzzy needs to slim down a little...

Sweet kitty BooBoo,
as I at computer toil,
dances on the keys.
