The Reverend Jessie R. Zeigler Residence, 509 Shelby Street, was built in 1910 and is Wright's only work in Kentucky. This square Prairie style structure was not supervised by the architect during its construction. An historic marker erected in front of the house indicates that the design for this house came from a chance shipboard meeting between Mr. Wright and Rev. Zeigler, a Presbyterian minister. The house was constructed by a local contractor.
