Alvion Paul Mosier
BIRTH: Alvion Mosier always claimed Vincennes, Indiana as his place of birth. Vincennes, Indiana is listed as place of birth on his draft registration cards for both WW I and WW II. However, in the 1900 U.S. Census for Blaine Co., Oklahoma, his parents list his birthplace as Illinois. This is consistent with information from WFT#4645 which lists Wabash Co., Illinois as place of birth. Courthouse birth registration records for Wabash County Illinois have been personally reviewed by this researcher, and record exists only for Alvion's sister, Sophrona, who died in Wabash County seven days after birth. Vincennes, Knox County, IN is separated from Wabash County, IL by Wabash River. Courthouse records have also been personally searched for Knox County (Vincennes) Indiana and surrounding counties, but no record can be found for Alvion or other Mosier children.
