bullet  General Notes:

DEATH: Died of gunshot wounds sustained from an Iroquois musket in September 1655, after ten years of living in Acadia and New France.

OCCUPATION: He was hired 5 Apr 1645 in La Rochelle by Emmanuel Le Borgne to go to Port-Royal, Acadia for 3 years without his family. He was a carpenter of big jobs and a sawyer of long pieces. He apparently returned to La Rochelle at the end of the 3-year contract, and then came to Canada with Gilles and Pierre. His wife joined hime aroung 1651.

Nicolas Pinel received a land grant at Sillery from the Jesuits in 1652, but remained on land leased at Cap Rouge in 1650.
