"On 3 Nov 1698, notary Chambalon drew up a marriage contract between Henriette and François (a.k.a. Jean) Coutelet, but it was subsequently annulled, as was the contract drawn up by notary Lepailleur 18 Jun 1701 with Jean-Pierre Forgues. In 1701, Henriette was apparently reduced to begging to live. On 15 Jul 1701, she appeared before the Prévôté de Québec for stealing cards work 32 livres from Jacques Bernier, after asking him for a handout. On 27 Mar 1702, Henriette married François Coutelet dit La Rochelle (with whom she signed the 1698 contract)." - Gagné, Fille du Roi, pg 127
