Extract of the register of baptisms, marriages and burials of the parish of St. Vallier, Bellechasse, for the year 1747: "The year 1747, the 20 November after three publications of the bans of marriage between Nicolas, son of Nicolas Moricet and of Anne Cloutier, his father and mother of the parish of St.Michel, of one part, and Marie, daughter of the late Antoine Blais and of Ambroise Fournier, her father and mother of this parish of the other part; having received the certificate of the pastor of St.Michel and having found no obstacles to the intended marriage, I the undersigned pastor of this parish have received their mutual consent by word of those present, and have given them the nuptial blessing in accordance with the manner prescribed by the Holy Church in the presence of Nicolas Moricet, father of the groom, Joseph...step-brother, Pierre Corrivaux, step-father of the bride, Baptiste Guilmet, step-brother and many others of which on party only has signed with us. Nicolas Moricet, Joseph Coriaux, Henry Mathieu. Leclair, ptre. Such extract, we the undersigned, pastor of the parish of St. Vallier, Bellechasse, certify to be true and conform to the original register preserved in the archives of this parish.
