bullet  General Notes:

IMMIGRATION: Abt 1662

He came to Canada around 1662 living in Beaupré. At the census of 1681 he lived in the Seigneurie of Maur at St Augustin

Aubin Lambert dit Champagne (Odard Lambert & Jacqueline Feillard) was baptized on June 30, 1632 in Saint-Aubin-de-Tourouvre, a village situated in the ancient province of Perche, France (about 140 kilometerssouth-west of Paris). He came to Nouvelle-France as an immigrant worker. Based upon many indications, he would have sailed from the port of Dieppe with a contingent of immigrants, somewhere between 1657 and 1662. In Canada, his name appears for the first time in a deed passed on May14,1663 before Notary Guillaume Audouart dit Saint-Germain in the village of Chateau Richer, where he had acquired a piece of land. On September 29, 1670 he married Elizabeth Aubert (Michel Aubert & Jeanne Aubert) in the church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire in Quebec; their marriage was blessed by Father Henry De Bernieres. Their marriage contract was passed in Quebec before notary Romain Becquet on September4, 1670. In the meantime, he had moved from Chateau Richer to St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, situated on the north shore of the Saint-Laurent river, about 20 kilometers south-west of Quebec, where he raised his family.

Aubin's death is indicated to have been Apr 1713 at unknown location, supposedly on St. Nicolas Day.
